The arrival of spring marks the beginning of the wedding season. A wedding is an occasion to get together and celebrate. Whether your wedding is a small affair or an elaborate affair it should be as memorable as one can make it. This is the time when all of the wedding planning goes into high gear. The 2011 style for wedding dresses is the return of vintage lace and it is at its peak. The bride is feminine, elegant, romantic and sensual in a white or ivory gown. The lines and the styles are pure and the jewelry is attractive. Nowadays the tendency for the seating arrangement is to have round or oval tables at the reception. Rather than have parents sitting at the head table these round tables are an excellent way to please all of the parents which is a good choice especially with blended families. You may choose to have members of the procession or some close friends sit with the bride and groom at the head table. Many newlyweds add a little intrigue by having a draw as to who will have the honor to accompany the bride and groom at the head the table. Another new trend is that the bride and groom may be seated at a smaller table surrounded by four or six tables for family and close friends making for a more intimate setting.. This is also the time to start thinking about the perfect gift to offer the newlyweds. It is always a good idea to check with the members of the respective families for gift ideas, however sometimes you can find this information on the wedding announcements. The bride and groom often register at their favorite stores with a wish list of items they would like to receive and you can have access to their wedding wishes by either visiting the stores or looking at their registers. You can also access many of them online. It is recommended to forward the gift in advance to the designated person rather than bring it to the hall. A new trend is to offer money; if that is your choice it is acceptable to offer the equivalent of the cover price. It is possible to find out the amount by contacting the venue and the Banquet Manager will inform you of the amount of the bundle that the bride and groom have chosen. It is important to respect your budget and do not deny yourselves the pleasure of going to the wedding. If someone is invited to a wedding and for various reasons they are unable to attend. It is expected to offer a gift. This is especially important if one of the people getting married is a family member. One gift
that is always well appreciated is for someone to offer to pay for
either the brides wedding jewelry or either the bridesmaids earrings or
necklace that they will be wearing on that day. Written by: Nicole Cousineau Click here to Register for Wish List Access
